Spokane Police responded to a report of a loud noise on November 8, 2025, shortly after midnight, where a firework thrown from a vehicle resulted in severe injuries to a male victim. Witnesses indicated that the victim was already transported to Harborview Medical Center when officers arrived at the scene. Investigators learned that a lit firework or similar object was thrown into a crowd before the vehicle fled the area. Security footage captured images of the suspect vehicle, which the Major Crimes Unit is using to gather more information. This incident raises serious concerns regarding public safety and the dangers associated with fireworks in populated areas.
