On November 8, around midnight, a lit firework was thrown from a vehicle into a crowd at 2nd and Wall, resulting in serious injuries to a male victim who was later hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center. Officers initially responded to reports of a loud noise, which turned out to be the explosion of the firework. Investigators from the SPD Major Crimes Unit have gathered security photos of the suspect vehicle and urge anyone with leads to reach out to Crime Check at 509-456-2233. This incident raises concerns about public safety and the use of fireworks in populated areas.
