Officers responded to reports of loud bangs near 2nd and Wall, where the victim had already been transported to a local hospital. Witnesses indicated that a vehicle approached a group of people and threw a lit firework into the crowd, resulting in an explosion that caused severe injuries. The victim was subsequently taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. The SPD Major Crimes Unit has collected security photos of the suspect vehicle and is actively seeking public assistance.
