Firework Thrown From a Vehicle Causes Severe Injuries to Another

Spokane Police are investigating a serious incident involving a firework thrown from a vehicle that injured a male victim on November 8, 2025. Witnesses reported hearing a loud bang and saw a man with visible injuries in the vicinity of 2nd and Wall shortly after midnight. The victim sustained severe injuries and was transported to Harborview Medical Center for urgent medical care. Officers learned that a lit firework was thrown from a vehicle into a crowd before the vehicle drove away. SPD’s Major Crimes Unit has obtained security photos of the suspect vehicle and is asking for community assistance in identifying it.
