Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies

Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, for committing two armed robberies in the city. The first robbery occurred on November 2, 2025, at a marijuana retail store on South Lewis Street, where an employee reported that a man in a Halloween mask stole cash while wielding a shotgun. Investigators utilized video evidence and witness interviews to identify McDowell as a suspect. On November 7, a second robbery at a gaming store involved similar tactics, with the suspect again using a shotgun and a Halloween mask. Police located McDowell later that day in the 2900 block of East Broad and seized evidence from his location.

McDowell faces two counts of 1st Degree Robbery and is currently held on a $50,000 bond. The incidents highlight ongoing concerns about armed robberies in Spokane. Authorities continue to investigate any potential connections to other crimes in the area.
