Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies
Spokane Police arrested Justin McDowell, 45, for committing two armed robberies within a week. The first incident occurred on November 2 at a local marijuana retail store, where an employee reported a masked suspect with a shotgun stole cash from the register. Investigators gathered video evidence and conducted witness interviews, leading to McDowell's identification. On November 7, another armed robbery took place at a gaming store, where similar modus operandi was observed. Officers apprehended McDowell later that evening and seized evidence of the crimes at his location.
He is currently booked into the Spokane County Jail on two counts of 1st Degree Robbery. The bond for his release is set at $50,000. These incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding armed robberies in the Spokane area.
