Spokane Police are investigating a serious incident involving a firework thrown from a vehicle that injured a man on November 8, 2025. Officers arrived at 2nd and Wall shortly after midnight in response to reports of a loud noise. Initially believed to be a shooting, it was later confirmed that a lit firework exploded in a crowd, causing severe injuries to a bystander. The victim was taken to Harborview Medical Center for treatment. Investigators gathered security photos of the suspect vehicle during witness interviews and area canvassing.

The SPD Major Crimes Unit is actively seeking assistance from the community to identify the vehicle and gather information about the suspects.
