Spokane police are investigating a firework-related incident that severely injured a man on November 8 at approximately midnight. Witnesses reported a loud bang near 2nd and Wall, leading to multiple 911 calls. Officers arrived to find that the victim had already been taken to Harborview Medical Center with significant injuries. The investigation revealed that a lit firework was thrown from a vehicle into a crowd, resulting in the explosion. The SPD Major Crimes Unit is requesting assistance from the community to identify the suspect vehicle captured in security photos.
