Suspect in Custody After Committing Multiple Armed Robberies
Spokane Police arrested 45-year-old Justin McDowell for committing two armed robberies in early November 2025. The first incident took place on November 2nd at a marijuana retail store, where a masked man armed with a shotgun stole cash. Investigators utilized video evidence to identify a suspect vehicle, which led to further inquiries and witness interviews. On November 7th, while searching for McDowell, he committed a second robbery at a gaming store, again using a shotgun and similar disguise. Officers located and arrested him later that evening, seizing evidence of the crimes at his location.
McDowell was booked into Spokane County Jail and faces charges of two counts of 1st Degree Robbery. His bond is set at $50,000. The incidents highlight ongoing concerns regarding crime in the Spokane area and the police's response to increasing armed robberies.
