Spokane Police are seeking public assistance following a firework-related incident that severely injured a male victim on November 8, 2025. The event unfolded shortly after midnight at the intersection of 2nd and Wall, where witnesses reported a loud explosion. The victim was transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of his injuries. Investigators learned that a vehicle approached a group of people, and a lit firework was thrown from the vehicle before it sped away. The SPD Major Crimes Unit has released security photos of the suspect vehicle, which may help in identifying those responsible.
