City Details Veterans Day Schedule
Spokane's on-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payment on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. Residents should note that parking rules, including time limits, still apply even on holidays. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection will proceed on the regular schedule, and the Waste to Energy Facility will remain open for regular operations. Riverfront Park will offer complimentary Looff Carrousel rides to all military members, both active and retired, along with their families.
Spokane Public Library branches will close for the holiday, as will Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services. Spokane 311 will provide customer service in-person, by phone, or online to assist residents. This holiday schedule reflects the city's commitment to honoring veterans while maintaining essential services. The availability of free carrousel rides highlights the community's support for military families.
