City Details Veterans Day Schedule

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane will suspend parking meter fees on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, while all parking regulations, including time limits, remain in effect. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste services will operate on their regular schedules, and the Waste to Energy Facility will remain open for business. The Spokane 311 service will be available for customer inquiries in person, by phone, or online at any time. Riverfront Park will offer complimentary Looff Carrousel rides to all active and retired military members and their families to honor their service.

However, Spokane Public Library branches, the Municipal Court, and Community Justice Services will be closed on this holiday. The city encourages residents to remember that while parking is free, regulations still apply to ensure order and safety. This observance highlights the city’s commitment to supporting its veterans while providing essential municipal services. Spokane’s proactive communication ensures residents are informed about service availability during the holiday.
