Tyrone L. Cliff, 38, was arrested in Florida on felony charges for possessing materials depicting child sexual abuse. The investigation began in August when Spokane's Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) unit received a CyberTip regarding Cliff's activities. Detectives identified him as a former Spokane teacher who had relocated to Florida, where he was employed as a middle school teacher. As the investigation progressed, law enforcement agencies from Spokane and Tampa collaborated with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement to issue multiple warrants for his arrest.

Cliff was taken into custody in Hillsborough County and is now awaiting extradition to Washington State. The ICAC unit’s proactive measures underscore the importance of vigilance against child exploitation. This case exemplifies the effectiveness of inter-agency cooperation in addressing serious crimes. Law enforcement officials aim to ensure that offenders face justice, promoting community safety.
