Spokane will suspend payment requirements for on-street parking meters and kiosks on Veterans Day, November 11. While parking will be free, all parking regulations, including time limits, will remain enforced. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collection will operate on their regular schedule, and the Waste to Energy Facility will be open to the public. Riverfront Park will offer complimentary Looff Carrousel rides for all military members, both active and retired, along with their families, as a gesture of appreciation. Spokane Public Library branches will close, and the Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services will not operate on the holiday.
