City Details Veterans Day Schedule
Spokane will waive fees for on-street parking meters and kiosks on Veterans Day, Nov. 11, while time limits will still apply. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste services will operate on their regular schedule, and the Waste to Energy Facility will remain open. The Development Services Center will have employees available to assist the public, and Spokane 311 will provide customer service in person, by phone, or online throughout the day. Riverfront Park will offer free Looff Carrousel rides for all military members, both active and retired, along with their families, acknowledging their service.
However, Spokane Public Library branches will be closed, and Spokane Municipal Court and Community Justice Services will not operate on this holiday. The city aims to balance holiday observances with essential services, ensuring community needs are met. Spokane's observance of Veterans Day highlights its commitment to honoring military service. Local residents can access city services while taking part in holiday festivities.
