Spokane, WALocal News

On October 28, 2025, Florida authorities arrested Tyrone L. Cliff, 38, a former teacher from Spokane, on felony charges involving child sexual abuse material. The investigation began in August when the ICAC unit received a CyberTip regarding Cliff's activities. Detectives quickly identified him and were preparing to execute search warrants when they discovered he had moved to Florida. The Spokane Police Department collaborated with Tampa law enforcement to obtain multiple felony warrants for Cliff, resulting in his swift apprehension.

He currently awaits extradition to Washington State while being held at Hillsborough County Jail. The case underscores the critical role of law enforcement in addressing child exploitation. Cliff's background as a teacher at a religious school adds a troubling dimension to the allegations. Authorities emphasize the need for vigilance in protecting children from potential predators.
