City Details Veterans Day Schedule

Spokane will suspend payment for on-street parking meters and kiosks on Veterans Day, Nov. 11. All parking regulations, including time limits, will still apply during the holiday. Garbage, recycling, and yard waste collections will operate on their regular schedule, and the Waste to Energy Facility will be open for service. Riverfront Park will offer free Looff Carrousel rides for military members, active and retired, along with their families.

Spokane Public Library branches will be closed, as will the Municipal Court and Community Justice Services. Spokane 311 will be available for in-person, phone, and online inquiries, ensuring continued service for residents. This year’s Veterans Day observance highlights community support for military families through free activities. The city emphasizes the importance of honoring veterans while maintaining essential city services.
