Tyrone L. Cliff, a 38-year-old former teacher, was arrested in Florida for felony charges of possessing child sexual abuse material. The investigation commenced in August when the Internet Crimes Against Children unit received a CyberTip regarding his activities. Detectives identified Cliff and prepared to serve search warrants, but he relocated to Florida. Law enforcement officials in Florida arrested him based on multiple felony warrants issued by Spokane authorities.

Cliff had been working as a middle school teacher in Hillsborough County at the time of his arrest. He is currently awaiting extradition to Washington State to face serious charges. The case highlights the importance of inter-agency collaboration in tackling child exploitation. Law enforcement agencies continue to prioritize the protection of vulnerable children against such crimes.
