Developed by the Columbus Police Department, this evidence-based program included representatives from various agencies around Spokane. The training introduced officers to a Dialogue Policing model and featured a Q&A session with local activists and media members, focusing on community perspectives. Additionally, the curriculum emphasized de-escalation techniques and science-informed crowd psychology to better prepare officers for large gatherings. Participants engaged in training scenarios to practice their skills before completing certification requirements.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to improve police-community relations and foster understanding. By equipping officers with these essential skills, the program aims to reduce conflicts and enhance public safety. The training reflects a proactive approach to modern policing in response to community needs.
