Female in Custody After an Auto Dealership Has 16 Vehicles Vandalized

Spokane police arrested Katie L. Sims, 34, for allegedly vandalizing 16 vehicles at an auto dealership on West 3rd Avenue. The incident unfolded just before midnight on September 19, when officers responded to a reported argument. Sims reportedly threw rocks at parked cars, causing an estimated $100,000 in damages, which could potentially rise. Officers obtained surveillance footage from the dealership, which helped them identify Sims.

The next day, officers found her in Downtown Spokane, still wearing the same clothes captured on video. She was subsequently arrested and charged with 1st Degree Malicious Mischief. This case underscores the impact of vandalism on local businesses and community safety. Authorities encourage residents to report suspicious activities to prevent further incidents.
