Construction Project Changes

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's construction projects on Ash St. and Rockwood Blvd. will create significant traffic disruptions from September 15 to 24. Southbound lanes on Ash St. will merge to one lane between Indiana Ave.

and Maxwell Ave. from September 22 to 24, likely causing congestion on nearby routes. Rockwood Blvd. will close entirely between Grand Blvd. and Cowley St.

from September 15 to 17 for essential upgrades to the water, sewer, and stormwater systems. This project will also involve pavement rehabilitation and redesigning the intersection, with completion expected by mid-October. Local access to businesses will be maintained, although pedestrians may encounter sidewalk detours. Officials urge drivers to consider alternative routes and adjust travel times to avoid peak congestion between 7 a. m.

and 7 p. m. Current obstruction details are available on the city's construction webpage. Residents are reminded to drive safely and support local businesses during this necessary work.
