Construction Project Changes

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane’s City announces delays in the Maxwell Avenue Bike and Pedestrian Safety Upgrades project, which will now affect traffic on N. Ash St. from Sept. 22-24. During this period, southbound lanes will reduce from three to one, causing likely congestion on Northwest Blvd.

and Ash St. Pedestrians may encounter sidewalk detours, but local access will remain open. Additionally, Rockwood Blvd. will close entirely between Grand Blvd. and Cowley St.

from Sept. 15-17 for critical water, sewer, and stormwater system work, impacting access near Sacred Heart Medical Center. The project will include pavement rehabilitation and redesign of the intersection at Rockwood Blvd. , Cowley St. , and 10th Ave.

City officials urge drivers to consider alternative routes and adjust travel times to avoid peak congestion. The construction is expected to conclude by mid-October, emphasizing the importance of safety during this necessary work.
