Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane's Corbin Art Center will host the "Age of Elegance Reimagined" from September 6-20, 2025, to fund the preservation of the historic D. C. Corbin House. The event will showcase furnishings from local businesses and offer guided tours led by historian Cindy Blue-Blanton. Admission is $10, with all proceeds aiding the restoration of the mansion's front veranda.

If approved in November, a Parks & Recreation levy will allocate funds for ongoing maintenance and support art classes for community members. The D. C. Corbin House, designed by Kirtland K. Cutter, has served as an art center for over 50 years.

Corbin, a railroad and mining magnate, gifted land for Corbin Park to the city. The center provides quality arts programs that foster personal growth among participants. Donations for preservation efforts can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation.
