Spokane's upcoming November vote on a Parks and Recreation levy will address the preservation needs of the D. C. Corbin House, which serves as the Corbin Art Center. This historic mansion, designed by Kirtland K. Cutter, is integral to the community’s cultural heritage.

The "Age of Elegance Reimagined" event, occurring from September 6 to 20, will feature local furnishings and historical tours. Admission is set at $10, with all proceeds supporting the restoration of the front veranda and ongoing maintenance. Guided tours led by historian Cindy Blue-Blanton will offer insights into the mansion's history. Private group tours are available at a discounted rate, promoting wider community participation. The Corbin Art Center has provided affordable fine arts programs for over 50 years, fostering creativity among participants.
