Age of Elegance Reimagined Showcases Local Furnishers to Raise Funds for Historic Preservation of D.C. Corbin Mansion, September 6-20

Spokane's Corbin Art Center will host "Age of Elegance Reimagined" from September 6-20, 2025, featuring local furnishings to raise funds for the historic D. C. Corbin House's preservation. Tickets are priced at $10, with all proceeds directed towards restoration efforts, especially the front veranda. Guided tours will be conducted by historian Cindy Blue-Blanton, with specific tour times on select dates.

If voters approve the Parks & Recreation levy in November, additional funds will be allocated for the mansion's ongoing maintenance and repair. The Corbin Art Center has operated at the D. C. Corbin House for over 50 years, offering affordable fine arts and crafts programs for various age groups. D.

C. Corbin, a railroad and mining magnate, originally gifted the land for Corbin Park to the city. The mansion was sold to the Parks Department by Corbin's widow in the 1940s. Donations for the preservation project can be made through the Spokane Parks Foundation's website.
