Rockwood Blvd. Construction Near Hospital

Construction on Rockwood Boulevard will begin on September 2, impacting traffic and parking near Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center. The project includes pavement rehabilitation, intersection redesign at Rockwood and Cowley, and utility upgrades, such as replacing outdated water main pipes. North/south traffic will be permitted at the Sumner Ave. and 10th Ave. intersection, while Sumner Ave.

will close for east/west traffic. Limited parking will be available on 9th Ave. and Rockwood Blvd. , with no metered parking in the construction zone. Sidewalk detours may affect pedestrians, but local access will be maintained throughout the project.

Completion is expected by mid-October, enhancing infrastructure and safety in the area. Residents are urged to support businesses impacted by the construction. Current obstruction information can be found on the city's construction webpage.
