On August 22, 2025, at 1:54 PM, a robbery was reported at a business located at 1000 W Summit Parkway. The suspect threatened an employee, claiming to have a gun, although no weapon was visible during the incident. Following the employee's call to 911, police rapidly responded to the area. Officers apprehended Jerry G. Allen Jr.

(38) at Cedar and Broadway just eight minutes after the report. Witnesses were interviewed, and the stolen items were successfully recovered. Allen was booked into the Spokane County Jail facing charges of 1st Degree Robbery and 3rd Degree Theft. This incident highlights ongoing concerns regarding safety in local businesses.
