W. Maxwell Ave. will close from August 25 to September 19 to facilitate traffic signal upgrades as part of the Maxwell Pettet to Walnut Bike/Pedestrian project. Motorists will face detours and lane reductions, particularly on Maple St.

and Ash St. , with local access maintained during non-working hours. Eastbound drivers on Pettet Dr. will detour at Belt St. to Indiana St.

, while westbound traffic on Maxwell Ave. will detour at Monroe St. The project is supported by various funding sources, including the Washington State Pedestrian/Bike Program and the Washington Climate Commitment Act.
