On August 22, 2025, Spokane police arrested Troy A. Silk, 45, for three counts of second-degree arson after a series of fires were set downtown the previous morning. Silk allegedly caused damage to properties on West Main, West Riverside, and Spokane Falls Boulevard. At the time of his arrest, Silk was already in custody on unrelated charges.
