Spokane police arrested Colin L. Pedro, 20, on August 7, 2025, following a stabbing incident that resulted in one fatality and serious injuries to another. Pedro was charged with 2nd Degree Assault (Domestic Violence), 2nd Degree Assault, and 2nd Degree Murder. The deceased was pronounced dead at an area hospital, while the surviving victim, who was in a dating relationship with Pedro, is expected to recover. Officers responded to multiple reports of a fight near Spokane Falls Blvd, where they found a man threatening suicide on a bridge.

The Major Crimes Unit is actively investigating the scene and gathering evidence. Police have reassured the public that there is no ongoing danger.
