Spokane Police arrested 20-year-old Colin L. Pedro for multiple charges, including 2nd Degree Assault and 2nd Degree Murder, following a deadly stabbing incident on August 7, 2025. Officers quickly responded to a report of a fight near the Post Street Bridge, where they encountered a male threatening suicide and another male suffering from serious injuries. The Major Crimes Unit is conducting an investigation into the incident, which has left one victim deceased and another hospitalized. The surviving victim, in a dating relationship with Pedro, is receiving treatment and is expected to recover.
