Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Starting July 21, construction projects on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. will disrupt traffic in Spokane. The South Freya St. project focuses on replacing over 3,000 feet of water main and includes street surface repairs and ADA-compliant curb ramps.

Motorists will experience road closures, with detours set up along Hartson Ave. , South Ray St. , and East 29th Ave. The South Lincoln St. project will rehabilitate swale plantings on both sides, with crews removing old plants and replacing them.

Work will occur intermittently on weekdays throughout the summer, and flaggers will be present to manage traffic. Delays are expected, and alternate routes include High Drive and Bernard St. Pedestrian detours will be implemented when sidewalks are obstructed. Local access for residents will remain open, and both projects are expected to enhance community infrastructure.
