Projects will impact traffic starting July 21

Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane will see significant traffic disruptions beginning Monday, July 21, due to construction projects on South Freya St. and South Lincoln St. The South Freya project involves replacing over 3,000 feet of water main, repairing street surfaces, and installing ADA-compliant curb ramps. This work will close South Freya to motorists, necessitating detours through Hartson Ave. , South Ray St.

, and East 29th Ave. , while maintaining local access for residents. The project is expected to be completed by late October. On South Lincoln St. , crews will rehabilitate swale plantings, with work occurring intermittently on weekdays throughout the summer.

Flaggers will be present to manage traffic flow, and alternate routes include High Drive and Bernard St. Pedestrian detours will also be implemented when sidewalks are obstructed. These improvements aim to enhance infrastructure and community safety.
