Spokane Police apprehended Chad Horne, 37, on July 9, 2025, for his alleged involvement in several deliberately set fires the previous day. Horne was wanted for 2nd Degree Arson and had been spotted near a Walmart in Spokane Valley just before his arrest. Authorities confirmed he had changed clothes and was carrying a large bag at the time. The fires included four separate structures, sparking alarm due to the current hot and dry weather conditions. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, but the incidents prompted an immediate police investigation.
