The City of Spokane has appointed Lissa Mascio as the new Deputy Police Ombuds, a decision made after a thorough national search. Mascio has a robust background in child welfare and law enforcement, having served as the Deputy and acting Legislative and Policy Director for the New Hampshire Office of the Child Advocate. She has experience prosecuting abuse cases and advocating for the rights of domestic violence victims. Spokane Police Ombuds Bart Logue emphasized her unanimous selection and noted her expertise will facilitate a smooth transition in the role.
