Spokane Police arrested Chad Horne on July 9, 2025, in Liberty Lake for 2nd Degree Arson following a series of fires set on July 8. Horne, 37, was wanted for an unrelated domestic violence charge and became a person of interest in the arson investigation. He was last seen near a Walmart in Spokane Valley and changed his clothing before being apprehended. Fortunately, no injuries were reported from the four structures that were deliberately set ablaze.
