Spokane, WALocal News

Spokane Police arrested Chad Horne, 37, in Liberty Lake on July 9, 2025, after receiving tips during a manhunt connected to multiple arson incidents. Horne was wanted for 2nd Degree Arson and an unrelated domestic violence charge. Earlier that day, he was last seen near a Walmart in Spokane Valley, reportedly changing clothes. Authorities warned the public to call 911 if they spotted him or any new fires. The arson incidents, which occurred on July 8, involved four deliberately set structures, but fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Spokane Police Major Crimes Unit launched an investigation following the fires, which raised concerns due to hot, dry, and windy weather conditions. The arrest marks a significant development in the police’s efforts to address the ongoing threat posed by the arsonist. Investigators continue to seek any relevant surveillance footage from the public.
