City Closures Planned for Juneteenth

Spokane City Hall and various municipal services will close on Juneteenth, June 19, to honor the holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved Black Americans. The Spokane Municipal Court, Community Justice Services, and all Spokane Public Library branches will also close for the day. On-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payment, but all other parking regulations will remain enforced. While city hall services close, garbage, recycling, and food waste collection will proceed as scheduled. Spokane City Council will convene on June 23, with a 3:30 p.

m. agenda review and a 6 p. m. legislative meeting, streamed live on CityCable 5 and online. Spokane 311 will be available for customer service inquiries.
