Spokane, Washington, has announced that Indigenous Peoples Day will be recognized on October 14, 2024, with some specific holiday arrangements for residents. On this day, on-street parking meters and kiosks will not require payment; however, it is important to remember that all parking regulations, including time limits, will remain enforced. City offices will be operational, allowing citizens to access essential services throughout the day. Solid Waste Services will continue to follow its regular schedule, ensuring waste collection remains uninterrupted. The Spokane City Council will also maintain its regular schedule for briefing and legislative meetings, which are set for 3:30 p.

m. and 6 p. m. respectively. For those interested in local governance, these meetings will be available for viewing live on CityCable 5, as well as on the council's Facebook page and the city website.
