Early Learners get Literacy Curriculum and Resources-Thanks to a partnership with foundry10 and the Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation
The Snoqualmie Valley Schools Foundation has announced a partnership with foundry10 to enhance literacy resources for preschool and elementary students. This collaboration will provide $50,000 for literacy support and library materials, addressing education access gaps within the district. The new Early Learning Center, scheduled to open in Fall 2025 in North Bend, will accommodate special education preschoolers and daycare for staff families. SVSF President Lorraine Thurston highlighted that early literacy support is crucial for student achievement. Foundry10, an education research organization, focuses on expanding learning opportunities for youth.
The partnership aims to improve academic performance and provide additional resources for educators. Approximately 100–120 preschool students will benefit from the new center's services, which will include full-day preschool programs. The initiative underscores the foundation's dedication to fostering strong reading skills among all students.
