Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank Launches Capital Campaign to Fund Permanent Home

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The Snoqualmie Valley Food Bank has launched the Building Together capital campaign to fund renovations for its new permanent home at 43530 SE North Bend Way, North Bend, WA. With a lease on its current location ending, the food bank faced an urgent need to secure a new space as demand for its services has steadily increased. Clients often wait outside for 1-2 hours, highlighting the inadequacy of the current facility. The new building, more than three times the size of the current location, will enhance service delivery and create a welcoming environment for clients. Planned renovations include an expanded grocery store-style shopping area, increased cold storage, and a community garden.

Renovations are slated to begin in late 2025 and conclude by fall 2026. Executive Director Alison Roberts emphasized the importance of the campaign amid decreased federal support and food donations. Community members can assist through donations, volunteering, or networking to bolster the food bank’s efforts.
