Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie has relaunched its City Academy, a free program designed to educate residents about local government operations. Scheduled to begin on October 1, 2025, the six-week program is open to residents aged 18 and older. Each week will feature a different city department, providing opportunities for participants to engage directly with city leaders and learn about essential services. Mayor Katherine Ross highlighted the program's role in fostering community involvement and understanding of local challenges. The curriculum includes interactive sessions, facility tours, and discussions on key topics such as land use and emergency management.

Registration is limited to 15 participants, prompting residents to sign up early. If demand is high, a second session may be offered in Spring 2026. The program aims to strengthen connections between the city and its residents, enhancing civic engagement.
