Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy this fall, providing a free six-week program designed for residents to understand local government operations. Each week, different city departments will host sessions, allowing participants to meet city leaders and ask questions. Mayor Katherine Ross emphasized the importance of community engagement, stating that informed residents are more involved in local governance. The curriculum features interactive sessions and tours covering essential topics such as budget management and emergency protocols, enhancing participants’ knowledge of city services. The program is open to Snoqualmie residents aged 18 and older, with a cap of 15 participants to ensure an engaging experience.

Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings, with one Saturday morning session scheduled. Interested individuals should apply early, as high interest may prompt a second session in Spring 2026. The City encourages residents to take advantage of this opportunity to learn how their tax dollars are utilized in city operations.
