Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy, providing a free educational opportunity for residents to learn about local government operations starting October 1, 2025. The six-week program will feature weekly sessions hosted by different city departments, from public works to emergency management. Mayor Katherine Ross stated, "A more informed community is a more involved community," highlighting the program's goal to foster civic engagement. Participants will engage in interactive sessions, facility tours, and discussions on important city topics. The academy is open to residents aged 18 and older and is capped at 15 participants to ensure a personalized experience.

Registration is available online, and those interested are encouraged to apply early. If the program garners significant interest, a second session may be scheduled for Spring 2026. This initiative represents a key step in building stronger connections between the city and its residents.
