Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy this fall, providing residents an opportunity to understand local government operations. The six-week program features sessions led by different city departments, including public works and police, allowing for direct interaction with city leaders. Mayor Katherine Ross emphasizes that a more informed community leads to greater civic involvement, stating, "A more informed community is a more involved community. " Scheduled for Wednesday evenings from October 1 to November 5, 2025, the program also includes a Saturday morning session. Open to residents aged 18 and older, the academy is limited to 15 participants to enhance the learning experience.

Interested residents should apply early, as high demand may lead to an additional session in Spring 2026. The curriculum covers city structure, budget, and strategic goals, promoting comprehensive understanding. Registration is available online through the city’s official website.
