North Bend Railway Crossing Work New Closure Dates Released

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The Northwest Railway Museum collaborates with the City of North Bend to upgrade four railway crossings, backed by a $4. 8 million federal grant. Scheduled road closures from November 9 to November 18 will impact NW 8th Street and North Bend Way, with crews working around the clock to complete the project efficiently. Detours and information boards will guide drivers during the closures. The City Council unanimously approved the project on October 7, 2025, and two crossings have already been completed.

Enhancements will include new concrete panels, tracks, crossing gates, signals, and cantilevered flashing lights to improve safety and travel quality. Additionally, tracks have been relocated along McClellan Street to accommodate future parking improvements. Community members can contact Capital Projects and Grant Manager Daniel Marcinko for inquiries. Ongoing updates will be provided by the city as the project progresses.
