City Academy Relaunches this October Go Behind the Scenes to Learn about City Operations

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie is set to relaunch its City Academy on October 1, 2025, providing residents with insight into local government operations through a free six-week program. Each week, a different city department will host a session, allowing participants to meet city leaders and ask questions about community services. Mayor Katherine Ross highlights that a more informed community leads to greater civic involvement, making this program crucial for fostering stronger connections between residents and local government. The curriculum is designed to cover various topics, including budget management and emergency response, and features interactive sessions and facility tours. Open to residents aged 18 and older, the academy will be limited to 15 participants, encouraging early registration.

The sessions will occur on Wednesday evenings, with one Saturday morning session planned. Interested residents can register online, and if demand is high, another session may be scheduled for Spring 2026. This initiative aims to enhance civic understanding and engagement in Snoqualmie.
