Snoqualmie Named 2025 Best in Governance National Champion in Excellence for Natural Environment

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

Snoqualmie has been awarded the 2025 Best in Governance Award, recognized as the National Champion in the Excellence in the Natural Environment category. The award is based on results from the National Community Survey™, which revealed an impressive 98% satisfaction rating from residents about the city's natural environment. This category assessed air quality, cleanliness, water resources, and the preservation of natural spaces. Mayor Katherine Ross attributed the success to the dedication of city employees and the active involvement of residents and volunteers. The city partners with Polco, an independent consultant, to conduct the survey every two years, ensuring a comprehensive assessment of community feedback.

This recognition not only reflects the city's environmental initiatives but also reinforces the importance of civic engagement. By valuing resident input, Snoqualmie aims to maintain and enhance its quality of life. The award serves as a motivation for continued efforts in protecting and improving the local environment.
