Community Invited to Provide Public Comment on 2026 Property Tax Levy, Nov. 10

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

Snoqualmie residents can share their thoughts on the proposed 2026 Property Tax Levy during a public hearing at the City Council meeting on November 10, 2025. The City plans a 0. 82% increase in property tax revenue, translating to an additional $71,946 to meet rising costs. Washington State law restricts annual levy increases to 1%, with exceptions for new construction or voter-approved levies. Of the property tax bills in Snoqualmie, around 58% supports local schools, while only 18% goes towards City services such as police and fire protection.

Feedback can be provided in person or via written comments sent to the City Clerk until 3 pm on November 10, 2024. Residents are encouraged to express their views on the levy and its revenue sources. The City Council meeting agenda will be posted online by November 6. Engaging with local tax discussions helps ensure community needs are addressed in budget planning.
