City Academy Relaunches this October Go Behind the Scenes to Learn about City Operations

Snoqualmie, WALocal News

The City of Snoqualmie relaunches its City Academy this fall, offering residents a free six-week program to learn about local government operations. Starting on October 1, 2025, participants will engage with various city departments, including public works and emergency management, gaining insights into services and decision-making processes. Mayor Katherine Ross highlighted the program's role in fostering community connections and understanding how tax dollars are spent. The curriculum features interactive sessions, facility tours, and discussions on budgeting and strategic goals. The academy is open to residents aged 18 and older, with a cap of 15 participants to ensure an intimate setting.

Sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings and one Saturday morning, with the final session on November 5, 2025. If demand is high, the city may offer an additional session in Spring 2026. Registration is available online through the city’s official website.
